Mississippi State University's (MSU) Industrial Assessment Center for the CHP and Bio-fuels Workshop on the Campus of MSU. The
goals of this workshop are to:
- Inform and educate end-users, manufacturers, and utilities about combined heat
and power (CHP) and its use in their plants and facilities.s.
- Showcase the Micro-CHP project at the University and the Micro-CHP and
Bio-fuel Center within the Bagley College of Engineering.
- Illustrate the successful use of CHP and distributed energy technologies at
other sites in the southeast.
- Provide an opportunity for CHP and distributed energy stakeholders to network
and learn from each others’ project design and development experience.

Ribbon Cutting and Reception
A highlight of the Mississippi State CHP & Bio-fuels Workshop
will be a Ribbon Cutting and Reception on August 22nd from 4:00 - 6:30 pm at the Micro-CHP
Facility located in the MSU Forest Products Complex. This building is being
converted into a space that will simulate a small office, with
lighting and comfort conditioning provided by a Coolong, Heating and Power
System. This is a joint project of the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and

The Mississippi CHP & Bio-fuels Workshop will be held at the Franklin Furniture Center. The Center is located at the intersection of Blackjack Road and Locksley
