The purpose of the Distributed Energy Peer Review is to review the mission, goals, objectives, strategy, project balance, and overall leadership and productivity of the Distributed Energy Program. In addition to presentations on strategic efforts underway at DOE and in state governments, distributed energy activities underway within the research, university, and trade association communities will be discussed. More in-depth presentations on technologies used in DOE-sponsored programs and projects will be given, including:
- Microturbines
- Reciprocating Engines
- Thermally Activated Technologies
- Technology Base-Advanced Materials
- Integrated Energy Systems
- End-Use Systems Applications
- Low Emissions
- Micro-CHP
Peer reviewers will be drawn from the private sector, university community, research and trade organizations, and state and local government agencies. The peer reviewers will be asked to evaluate the DE program at a strategic management level, and to provide written comments and recommendations to DOE.
