Aluminum
The U.S. aluminum industry—buffeted in the past decade by high energy prices and fluctuating market demand—is positioning itself to meet future challenges. Aluminum companies and government research and development (R&D) agencies are working together to advance the state of the art in aluminum production and fabrication technologies and to enhance the competitiveness and reduce the energy footprint of the domestic aluminum industry.
Energetics has been supporting government and industry R&D partnerships on aluminum for 15 years. We assist The Aluminum Association, AMIRA International, and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) with developing visions and roadmaps that align technology priorities nationally and internationally. Our analysts also regularly evaluate aluminum industry energy use, identify savings opportunities, and evaluate new processes and technologies to capture those savings.
