The metal forming and joining industries must constantly evolve to adapt to new materials and alloys and to meet customers’ needs.  Companies within these fragmented industries are typically small; collaboration with each other and with industry associations and government agencies on technology research and development (R&D) provides a cost-effective mechanism for meeting common challenges.

Energetics works with the casting, forging, welding, and related industries to identify the technologies and practices that will improve their performance and keep them competitive.  We work with companies themselves as well as technical associations, national laboratories, and other government agencies with a stake in advancing the state of forming and joining technology.
