Clean Fuels for California and the West
CHP for Hospitals, Universities, Landfills, Wastewater Treatment Facilities, and Food and Beverage Sites

January 18, 2006

Thanks to all who attended the workshop last week! It was highly informative and we hope the information sharing and networking will be useful. Please visit the Agenda link below to view presentations from the workshop.

What is Combined Heat and Power (CHP)?

Combined heat and power (CHP) technologies produce electricity, hot water, chilled water, and/or steam from a single fuel at a facility located near the consumer. These efficient systems recycle heat that normally would be wasted in an electricity generator, and save the fuel that would otherwise be used to produce heat or steam in a separate unit.
