Energetics Incorporated recently won a five-year, $5 million contract to support the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in assessing critical U.S. measurement needs. Work under the contract supports NIST’s mission to promote U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness by anticipating the nation’s evolving needs in measurement science, standards, and technology.
The work will be managed by Joan Pellegrino, Vice President of Science and Technology. Ms. Pellegrino managed the previous five-year NIST support contract and has worked on NIST projects for the past 10 years. Nexight Group LLC of Silver Spring, MD, will support Energetics under the contract.
“Measurement and standards are critical factors in technology innovation, which is a key driver for our economy,” said Energetics President Nancy Margolis. “Ms. Pellegrino’s team of measurement specialists, technology analysts, subject matter experts, facilitators, meeting planners, and technical writers are eager to dive into the new work, which will begin with an assessment of cyber-physical systems.”
Energetics’ portfolio of work with NIST includes numerous technical, management, strategic planning, analysis, and document production efforts. The team will draw upon its rich background in bringing together the right stakeholders from industry, government, and academia to stimulate productive discourse on selected technical topics.
