The roadmap presents four concrete research and development projects to develop next-generation pulping solutions.
This document is a key resource for the U.S. pulp and paper industry to develop cost-effective technical solutions to significantly reduce energy use and improve resource efficiency of chemical pulping.
Energetics worked with experts from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Manufacturing Office and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory to perform “energy bandwidth analysis” for four major manufacturing subsectors: chemical, iron and steel, petroleum refining, and pulp and paper.
The “bandwidths” analyze energy use and the potential for energy savings in various processes for selected manufacturing subsectors.
Industry stakeholders can use the reports to understand the processes and products that consume the most energy and the range of potential energy savings, which helps in identifying and prioritizing areas of focus.
The Better Buildings Residential Program Solution Center is a repository of examples, lessons, and resources for residential energy efficiency programs.
Adding to the legacy of the Better Buildings Neighborhood Program, the Solution Center features insights on how to design, implement, and evaluate efficiency programs to improve the energy efficiency of communities across the nation.
