E-mail Marketing for the Electricity Delivery Forum

In 2007, Energetics developed a website for the Electricity Delivery Forum and put together a list of contacts through a sign-up form on the website. The Energetics web development staff created plain-text and html versions of the emails that were delivered to contacts that subscribed online.

The Electricity Delivery Forum is national meeting sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability (OE).

Client Need

To help promote the National Electricity Delivery Forum (for years 2007-2008), OE wanted to

Market the event to a targeted audience of potentially interested participants
Convey comprehensive information about the Forum in an inexpensive, easily accessible format

Solution

In addition to developing the registration/information website, Energetics

Put together an original contact list of people who signed up through the website as interested in the conference
Developed html and plain text versions based on the same design elements as the website

Results

Energetics successfully emailed approximately 3000 potential participants about the details of the Forum each year
The 2007 and 2008 forums were attended by approximately 350 and 450 participants, respectively
