Energetics planned and executed the annual combined heat and power (CHP) industry roadmapping workshops to gauge the success of the roadmap in achieving the industry's goal of doubling CHP capacity by 2010.
Client Need
The U.S. Combined Heat and Power Association (USCHPA), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other organizations and institutions wanted to track the CHP industry's progress in meeting the goals it established in the National CHP Roadmap—Doubling Combined Heat and Power Capacity in the United States by 2010. They were especially interested in providing a collaborative environment where mentoring and cross-fertilization of activities, succeses, and challenges could occur.
Solution
For these annual meetings, Energetics developed background materials and informative registration websites, solicited presenters, and established agendas. We worked with our clients to choose meeting locations near commercial, institutional, and industrial sites where CHP has been installed to provide workshop participants with an opportunity to visit. Our team also coordinated participant registration, food, and lodging both prior to the even and on-site.
Results
Energetics has planned and executed these annual meetings since 1998. The most recent CHP roadmap workshop was held in Seattle in October 2006.
