The U.S. CEEM formed in 2007 to establish the framework for the Superior Energy Performance program. Consisting mainly of industry volunteers, the U.S. CEEM needed a forum to gather industry points of view and to gain consensus on complex program decisions in a time-efficient manner.

Energetics provides facilitation, communications, and project management support to maximize the effectiveness of U.S. CEEM, which brings together the respective strengths of industry, standards-making bodies, several federal agencies, national laboratories, universities, and technical experts to develop Superior Energy Performance. Energetics coordinates and facilitates in-person and virtual meetings, develops communications materials and the program website, and manages project timelines and materials.

With Energetics’ facilitation and management support, the industry-backed Superior Energy Performance program is gaining visibility and broader national recognition. Five industrial facilities have been certified to Superior Energy Performance to date. It is anticipated that the national, voluntary program will launch in fall 2011.
