The mineral exploration and mining industry, in partnership with AMIRA International, agreed upon the need for a technology roadmap to align priorities in both best practices and R&D for hard-rock drilling operations.

Energetics worked with a steering committee to develop a set of 26 goals related to productivity, efficiency, environmental performance, occupational health, and safety and training.  We designed and conducted two workshops—one in North American and one in Australia—to gather input on common global needs.

AMIRA International has used the roadmap as a basis for developing collaborative R&D projects that benefit many or all of the companies involved in its development.  Some of the priority areas are also being addressed by suppliers and manufacturers in their own right.
