Energetics helped PATH’s Safe Water Project team conceptualize a future project roadmap to compile, share, and build on the team’s strategies, tools, and lessons learned during PATH’s work to bring safe water technologies to bottom-of-pyramid consumers through commercial approaches.
Client Need
After 2011, PATH hopes to publish a roadmap document that shares knowledge gained and informs future work in the field. However, the scope and content for this document were undetermined as of early 2009.
Solution
To conceptualize the future Safe Water Project roadmap, Energetics combined the following:
- PATH’s wishes and intentions
- Our roadmap development experience
- Input from stakeholders in the home water treatment and storage community
- PATH’s feedback on preliminary options
Energetics formulated options for the roadmap’s scope, structure, and elements; facilitated PATH’s decision-making process regarding them; and summarized the final roadmap concept for PATH’s internal use.
Results
The future roadmap will synthesize content from a range of experts and viewpoints into a unified, accessible framework. It will be structured to fulfill the preferences of its audiences as well as the intentions of its authors.
