Working with the Distributed Energy Program, Brookhaven National Laboratory, and the National Oilheat Research Alliance, Energetics developed an Oilheat Vision and Roadmap as well as a Five-Year Research and Development Plan. We obtained information from CEOs, technical managers, and government officials to create a vision for the oilheat industry and to chart the technical pathways to achieve the vision. We facilitated three workshops, researched the past and current state of the oilheat industry, and synthesized the deliberations of the three workshops to create the final product. In addition to presenting this roadmap at the 2002 National Oilheat Research Technology Symposium, Energetics also led an international oilheat technology workshop that took place in Aachen, Germany, and was attended by over 50 international oilheat executives.
