This project was performed for the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority, the New York Power Authority, and the Long Island Power Authority. Energetics and its subcontractors, Albany NanoTech and the National Hydrogen Association, facilitated vision and roadmap workshops with leaders in the state's energy, transportation, and industrial sectors. We also held several public forums to obtain comments and suggestions from interested residents across the state.

Energetics developed the New York State Hydrogen Roadmap that identifies the necessary steps guiding a phased evolution to a hydrogen future. It considers technical options as well as market opportunities. A timeline sets targets and decision points for development, investment, and commercialization. This roadmap supports New York's objectives for improved fuel diversity, reliability, energy efficiency, and environmental quality.

This roadmap strategically positions New York State as a leader in the transition to the hydrogen economy.
