The National Rural Energy Cooperative Association (NRECA) and Sandia National Laboratories have supported an effort to develop a device that will simulate the technical and economic performance of distributed energy technologies. NRECA’s Cooperative Research Network (CRN) is taking the lead in this project to eventually provide its co-op members and customers with a means of assessing competitive distributed energy technologies for their peak-shaving capabilities
- Peak-shaving battery
- Peak-shaving diesel generator
- Power quality battery
- Microturbine
- Phosphoric acid fuel cell
Energetics, Inc. has developed and validated these five modules.
